We cannot guarantee continuity in product (i.e. timber colour, grain, panel sizes etc. may vary). To avoid mis-matching products please order all goods for a project in one go. Although we make every effect to match colour or shade to a photo supplied by ourselves from the portfolio or website or even supplied by the client, we also cannot guarantee an exact match due to the grading of boards, device screen calibration or the ageing process of oak boards used in the manufacture.

FITTERS: We have a small number of professional fitters on our books who are all self employed running their own business. We can help our clients if fitting is required by contacting them to support you with their services. Please note: if for some reason the fitter needs to cancel due to dates overlapping with their ongoing business especially where they need to complete or for other reasons that could be personal, we at Bespoke Oak Doors can not be held responsible but will try our very best  to re book dates or find another fitter. Please also note where deposits have been paid on bespoke products whether or not they have been put in production,  no refunds can be given due to fitters cancellations or other reasons relating to their services.

LAMINATING: Although we only use solid pieces of oak, we reserve the right to laminate at our own discretion where we feel is correct to get the best out of the product. Laminating sections makes the frame, doors and windows much more structurally stable than using a single piece of oak.

OAK GRADING: unless asked for and put in writing, all boards are mixed QB/QF1b (clean boards with some small defects) QB/QF2/3 (character boards with larger defects)

GLASS: Unless asked for and put in writing all glass supplied and or fitted is 6.4mm clear laminate commercial glass and offer a one year guarantee. On all oak goods fitted with double glazed units, we offer 3 months guarantee starting from the day you received them.

The Kitemark symbol of quality was first conceived in 1903 to identify glazing solutions that were at the pinnacle of safety and reliability. Today, glass kite marks remain as one of the oldest product quality marks in the world still in use. If you do not want a certified kitemark stamped on the glass, you must put this in writing.

FINISHED SIZES: an allowable amount of variation of a specified size/quantity, especially in the dimensions of a door or frame – up to 10mm tolerance on all sides.

KILN DRIED OAK: All of our oak is specially kiln dried to 8 – 12% for use as an interior  door frame, door or window unit and will exhibit minimum movement in use.

AIR DRIED OAK: All of our oak is specially air dried to 12 – 22% for use as an exterior door frame, door or window unit and will exhibit minimum movement in use. As with all timber its extremely important to thoroughly finish external doors as soon as they are installed to prevent rapid moisture content changes that can lead to door swelling and disfiguration.

SHRINKAGE: All external doors and frames are made using air dried boards which helps prevent swelling and shrinkage but, due to climate change with summer temperatures higher then ever before, doors facing  directly into the sun and/or in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees centigrade, there is a possibility that shrinkage could occur with some boards. Therefore, we cannot offer any guarantees against shrinkage under the above circumstances due to natural causes.

OIL DIP SERVICE: All boards are dipped in fine oils to allow the oils to sink in and once frames and doors are fully built, two more coats are applied by hand. Please continue to maintain all oak products supplied with a clear natural Danish oil. This will form a surface skin and protect against U.V and moisture/rain water. If these are being stored for a short period of time, please apply at once and this applies on the day of fitting too with further applications required.

Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may be altered up or down.

Prices of individual products do not include delivery charges (where applicable)

DELIVERY: If your delivery has been made by courier please note that once you have signed the receipt confirming that the goods have arrived in good condition, we are not able to progress any claim for damaged products. You MUST thoroughly check the entire delivery before signing as accepting the goods. If a door is delivered damaged, twisted or bent you must report this immediately and it is your duty to check all is okay.
A courier delivery is made by a third party to the kerbside and will require on-site labour to move the doors into the house/site. Any doors pre fitted in our workshop must be delivered separate to the frame to allow ease of handling. Before leaving our premises we rigorously check all is good to go and all parts are working and aligned without any twists or bends to the door.

Please Note: by fitting, finishing or making any alterations, the doors will be deemed to have been accepted as supplied. No claims – either relating to damage or faulty manufacture – will be entertained on any product that has been altered in any way. It is up to you, the customer to check the goods not the person fitting the products.

We accept orders from all over the world but ask that you arrange your courier/shipping for destinations outside of the UK. On signing for the product(s) at the point of collection or delivery, your agent is confirming as your representative that the goods have been provided satisfactorily. Nb. Our guarantee is not valid for products once they are outside of mainland UK.

If any mistakes are made through human error we will do our utmost to rectify them as quickly as possible.
Due to the vagaries of the printing process and the natural qualities of timber, colours in our catalogue are for guidance and may not be exactly replicated in the final product.

Bespoke Oak Doors. reserves the right to alter our manufacturing suppliers, construction methods and price without notice.

All of our internal doors benefit from a one year guarantee, whilst our external doors are offered with a three year guarantee so long as the Finishing, Care & Maintenance  have been followed which includes applying four coats of Danish oil per year within the guarantee period and must notify us by email on each application. Our guarantee applies to the person/company who has purchased the door/s from us and is not transferable.
